Quick Weight Loss -A Fast Way to Lose Weight?

Fasting, or more accurately starving yourself to lose weight can produce very fast weight loss. The problem with this and so many other weight loss plans is that sooner or later you need to go back to managing your own food. Understand that any type of quick weight loss that takes you out of your normal patterns is usually not a long-term solution.

My normal patterns, I mean, your personal food choices and selections. Almost anyone can lose weight with those portion control meal plans that come prepackaged and prepared. The problem becomes apparent when you quit buying those prepackaged foods and need to decide what you will eat from the refrigerator or a restaurant menu.

Understand that fasting and weight loss seem to go together well, because not eating has always been a guaranteed path to weight loss. The old adage that to lose weight, you need to eat less and exercise more continues to be true.

For those of you who think that as long as you're thinner, it's worth the risk, you need to rethink that outlook. Fast too long and your body will begin to experience some fun and exciting side effects like possibly kidney stones. The pain is so unbelievable and can last for hours and even days. The real fun begins however when you get past them through your urine. Believe it or not, kidney stones are just a minor inconvenience in relation to some of the more serious health problems you can create with fasting.

Beyonce Knowles appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and claimed she lost 20 pounds on a Lemonade Fast. That's probably as far as a lot of people, desperate to lose weight might have heard. Glossed over were the following facts:
1. Beyoncé is 25 years old. Younger people are better able to tolerate abusing their bodies than the rest of us.

2. She had the benefit of childhood metabolism. It's no secret that our metabolisms slow down as we age. This means it's more difficult to lose weight, no matter what diet plan are fast is used.

3. Beyoncé admitted she was very irritable while on the diet.

4. Being rich, she had a nutritionalist available in most likely an exercise program monitored by a personal coach.

The most important point, however, and was that after she completed the scenes for the movie, she immediately gained back all of those 20 pounds.

There is just no way that you can maintain weight loss due to a fast without major changes in your dietary eating habits and/or exercise regimen. What any of us and a diet and go back to normal eating patterns, we tend to put all the weight lost back on along with a couple more pounds. The extra poundage is caused by our bodies having just experienced starvation. Our bodies will want to add a little more reserve (fat) to our frames to protect us from the next period of starvation that may come our way.

Fasting for a day or two at a time can actually be beneficial to weight loss by improving your metabolism. In the end any diet that doesn't consider maintaining adequate vitamins, minerals, nutrients, carbohydrates and proteins should be considered dangerous to your health.

When one desires for a rapid fat loss, one should be prepared for its outcome, negative and positive effects are included in attaining dramatic results. Rubbish supplements should be eliminated and the natural method of rigid discipline in food intake should be observed at all times.

A starvation diet which promotes fat loss by depriving the body of its essential water and muscular stature is dangerous. Withholding calories from the body even for a few hours in a starvation mode tends to reduce the rate at which fat is burned. One should however be prepared for the compensatory syndrome as the body reverts back to the normal demand. Aided by dangerous diet pills, this is a step to achieve fat loss goal but it is very detrimental to one’s health.

Liposuction has also suggestively been surgically proven as effective ways in taking off unwanted fat. The procedure is particularly well-suited for women and men who are of normal weight but have isolated pockets of fat that that appear to be disproportionate. These localized fat deposits could be an inherited trait and typically do not respond to certain dieting or exercise regimen. Liposuction is thought as the only way to eliminate them.

Liposuction removes the fatty collections of tissues from the legs, buttocks, and abdomen, back, arms, face and neck areas. It employs a vacuuming technique with the use of a cannula inserted into various parts of the body to suction out the liquid fat. There is a minimal open wound that enables the cannulas to reach the stubborn parts of the body in removing fatty tissues. It cannot however remove and eliminate the formation of additional fats that later develop as the body demands for food after the procedure.

As the increasing problem of fat loss has been growing more individuals are seeking a surgical solution to meet their bodily demands. Bariatric bypass operations have specialized in weight-loss surgeries to prevent people from developing complications like diabetes and high blood pressure. For the vain individuals however, fat presence could not account for the amount of psychological deception the manufacturers of fat loss products would reveal in order to sell their product.

Exercise with the diet is the most important part to achieve a fat loss plan that is realistic after proper medical evaluation. Realistically, one should also focus on the key to producing consistent, permanent weight loss by religiously following the suggested exercise and diet regimen. ..CONTINUE

Emergency Weight Loss -- How to Lose Weight Quickly & Safely

"Sound the alarms! I need an emergency weight loss plan!"

Two weeks before her wedding, my sister yelled, "The heck with your healthy diets...I need to lose weight and lose it now."

Unfortunately, we have become accustomed to immediate gratification and demand it at all times. With weight loss, it just can't happen immediately. Yes, I can show my sister how to lose weight fast, but I can't guarantee she'll keep it off.

And isn't that what it's all about? Keeping weight off and not needing to diet in the first place--this is your goal.

Quick weight loss is not a solution; instead, it is the problem. Trying to lose weight fast causes physiological changes that promote weight gain, the exact opposite of keeping weight off.
However, people, like my sister, want to lose weight fast. So is there a way to produce fast weight loss and not promote future weight gain? Not really.

But I do have a system for fast weight loss while minimizing the future weight gain potential inherent in quick weight loss plans.

Fast Weight Loss Plan

This is the same plan I published a few months ago. It works. You'll lose weight fast and, if you diet right afterwards, you'll keep it off.

The Emergency Weight Loss Steps:

Week One, Part One -- drink a protein shake supplement everyday. Do not change anything else. Drink a protein shake that's a 50:50 mix of whey to casein proteins. The best time to drink the shake depends on your physical activities.

Since most bodybuilders know what to do, I suggest for the rest of us, a protein shake between breakfast and lunch or between lunch and dinner. The time you choose depends on when you have the longest period of fasting. For me, it's between lunch and dinner, so my shake comes around 3pm.

Week One, Part Two -- Start an exercise program, with the first week involving nothing but stretching major muscle groups. Stretching increases the tonal stimulation to muscles (tone) causing them to burn more calories at rest. Plus it protects against injuries.

Week Two -- Start dieting by replacing 1/2 of a meal with the same protein shake from last week. Do this for 1 week.

Week Three -- Replace one whole meal with a protein shake. Change the mixture of the shake to 60% whey and 40% casein proteins. For most people, this comes out to about a 500 calorie reduction.

Week Four -- Reduce caloric intake by another 250 calories. I suggest adding a second protein shake, made up of the same 60:40 mix and use it to replace 1/2 of a another meal. Record the amount of weight you're losing. Never let it reach a rate of more than 4 pounds per week (that's double what I normally recommend).

Week Five -- Repeat week four.

Week Six -- Add back the last 250 calories you dropped and stop drinking the second shake. My sister tried it and lost weight just in time for her wedding. Did she keep it off? No.
